About PACIFIC INTERNATIONAL CENTER FOR HIGH TECHNOLOGY RESEARCH

The Pacific International Center for High Technology Research (PICHTR) is an independent, not‑for‑profit applied research and development center incorporated in Hawaii that facilitates public‑private partnerships, technology commercialization, and capacity building across the Asia‑Pacific region. PICHTR runs commercialization, incubation, training and contract‑management programs—including the Hawaii Wave Dual‑Use Incubator, the J‑StarX accelerator, and the Pacific Alliance for Collaboration and Technology (PACT) conference—and partners with state, federal and international organizations to advance clean energy, healthcare, disaster preparedness and resource conservation. In the last 2–3 years PICHTR has continued accelerator and incubation activity, organized the PACT 2026 conference, and published regular program updates and alumni outcomes demonstrating ongoing operational activity and impact.

Notable achievements

Regional convening and program delivery

Organizes recurring conferences and training (PACT conference series) and delivers contract management and grant‑support services to public and private partners to advance resilience, data‑sharing and technology adoption in the Pacific.
