About HAWAII HEALTH & HARM REDUCTION CENTER
Hawai'i Health & Harm Reduction Center (HHHRC) is an operating nonprofit based in Honolulu that provides statewide harm reduction, clinical, outreach, and training services focused on HIV, hepatitis C, substance use, and related health disparities. HHHRC operates Hawai'i's long-running syringe exchange program and offers clinical services including PrEP, HCV testing, buprenorphine treatment, hormone therapy, wound care, and case management through Ryan White and other programs. In recent years HHHRC has published programmatic evaluations and annual reports (including a 2024 Syringe Exchange Program report) documenting program reach and outcomes, expanded overdose-prevention distribution, and received federal and state funding to support behavioral health and reentry services for priority populations. The organization positions itself as a community-facing provider and trainer, partnering with the Hawai'i Department of Health and other funders to deliver direct services, naloxone distribution, testing, and prevention across the islands.
