About HAWAII VOCAL ARTS ENSEMBLE

Hawai‘i Vocal Arts Ensemble (HVAE) is a community-based vocal ensemble based in Kailua, Hawai‘i, known for tonal beauty and wide-ranging repertoire from Renaissance and sacred masterworks to folk, contemporary, and popular standards. The group serves as the resident chorus for the Hawai‘i Vocal Masterworks Festival and partners with professional orchestras and soloists to present major choral works. HVAE maintains an active concert season (the organization lists seasonal programs and performances throughout 2024–2026) and offers public ticketed concerts across Oʻahu that are intended to broaden appreciation for choral music. The Ensemble is led by founding Artistic Director Timothy Carney and operates as a donor-facing 501(c)(3) nonprofit with an ongoing community presence in Kailua.
