About KEIKI INJURY PREVENTION COALITION- SAFE HAWAI I INCORPORATED

The Keiki Injury Prevention Coalition (KIPC) is a statewide, community-based nonprofit established in 1991 and incorporated in 1995 that brings together more than 150 organizations, agencies, and individuals to reduce injury and death among children and youth in Hawai‘i. KIPC focuses on child passenger safety, safe sleep, water and aquatic safety, home-safety education, and related injury-prevention areas and operates safety-seat inspection stations and public check-up events. KIPC is administered with in-kind support from Kapiolani Medical Center for Women & Children and serves as the Safe Kids Hawai‘i coalition coordinator; it funds and oversees contracted coordinators (child passenger safety and Hawaii Water Safety Coalition coordinators) rather than maintaining direct employees.
