About READ TO ME INTERNATIONAL FOUNDATION

Read To Me International Foundation is a Honolulu-based 501(c)(3) public charity incorporated in 1996 that promotes reading aloud to children through parent coaching, workshops, read-aloud events, and statewide programs. The organization was founded out of a partnership between the Governor’s Council for Literacy and the Rotary Club of Honolulu Sunrise and is led by Founder Lynne Waihee and Executive Director Dannah Barnes. Read To Me operates multiple family- and community-focused programs (RTM10 parent-coaching, Ted Sakai Hoʻāla Reading Program, Kūpuna Keiki Pen-Pal, monthly Family Literacy Nights and others) and reports serving roughly 10,500 people per year.
