About THE MOVEMENT CENTER

The Movement Center is a Honolulu-based 501(c)(3) performing arts school and community organization founded in 1998 that provides dance, voice, acting, music and fitness education for students of all ages and abilities. The organization operates an active studio in Kaimuki (1215 Center Street) and runs regular seasonal class schedules, registration, and public performances.

In recent years TMC has maintained program-centered operations (program services consistently account for the large majority of revenue), filed timely Form 990 returns through 2024, and continues to enroll students and run seasonal terms (Spring 2026 schedule and registration materials are published on the organization’s site). The studio emphasizes inclusion (programs for ages 3+ and accommodations for differently-abled students), community performances, and volunteer-supported fundraising and events.
