Women's Community Leadership Initiative (WCLI)
WCLI empowers women in Colorado Springs to realize their full leadership potential, break down barriers to advancement, and create a more inclusive and equitable community for all.
About Women's Community Leadership Initiative (WCLI)
WCLI is a Colorado Springs–based nonprofit leadership development program that delivers a cohort-style, six-month curriculum focused on self-awareness, community engagement, and civic leadership for women from low-to-moderate income backgrounds.
Founded in 2023 and organized under Lipscomb Programming, WCLI operates free or subsidized cohorts for underserved participants, runs Spanish-language and youth tracks, and partners with local funders and institutions to expand access and employer sponsorship opportunities.
Since launching, WCLI has grown a cohort/alumni network that moves graduates into community leadership roles — including nonprofit boards, business ventures, public service, and peer mentoring — while continuing to run seasonal cohorts, community connection events, and youth programming.
