ARVADA POLICE FOUNDATION
The Arvada Police Foundation is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to raising funds to strengthen partnerships between the Arvada Police Department and the community and to support the Department in providing exceptional police service.
About ARVADA POLICE FOUNDATION
Founded as a Colorado nonprofit in January 2024 (incorporated January 27, 2024), the Foundation raises tax-deductible contributions to support programs, equipment, training, officer wellness, and community-facing initiatives that are not covered by public funding.
Since formation the Foundation has launched a Community Care Fund for immediate assistance, sponsored department-focused events (Family Day and Breakfast with the Chief), and is leading the fundraising and construction of the Arvada Police Honor Garden (groundbroken April 24, 2025) to memorialize Arvada officers who died in the line of duty.
Notable achievements
Inaugural Breakfast with the Chief (2024)
Held September 2024; the inaugural Breakfast with the Chief drew over 100 attendees and raised more than $40,000 to support Foundation programs.
Family Day sponsorship (2024)
Sponsored a department Family Day in late spring 2024 that reunited officers and their families (over 200 participants, including more than 90 children), supporting peer‑to‑peer resilience and family well‑being.
Honor Garden ground breaking (April 24, 2025)
Broke ground on the Arvada Police Honor Garden on April 24, 2025; as of mid-2025 the Foundation had raised nearly $120,000 toward a stated $500,000 goal to complete the memorial.
