About BUILT NOCO
BUILT NoCO grew from the Northern Colorado HBA workforce development committee (founded 2021), became a Careers in Construction Colorado (CICC) chapter in 2022, and established itself as an independent 501(c)(3) organization in 2024 to expand construction-focused vocational education across Northern Colorado.
The organization implements the Home Builders Institute (HBI) PACT curriculum and related safety training, partners with local schools, employers and CICC/NoCo HBA, and runs student job-placement activities and regional events; recent activity includes a November 2024 youth employment townhall, a spring 2025 regional job fair for students and employers, and an active 2025 fundraising campaign to support program expansion.
Notable achievements
Independent 501(c)(3) formation (2024)
Transitioned from a workforce committee and CICC chapter into an independent nonprofit with its own 501(c)(3) status to expand programming and fundraising capacity in Northern Colorado.
Regional program growth
Built a regional Careers in Construction program footprint through partnerships with CICC and the NoCo Home Builders Association, enabling delivery of PACT curriculum and work-readiness training across participating Northern Colorado schools.
Recent employer–student events
Hosted and co-organized engagement events (employer townhalls and job fairs) in 2024–2025 to directly connect credentialed students with regional construction employers and internship opportunities.
