About THE FEEDING PUEBLO INITIATIVE INC
The Feeding Pueblo Initiative Inc (FPI) is a Pueblo, Colorado–based 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on alleviating local food insecurity through food pantry deliveries, backyard and community gardens, and educational programs that promote food self-sufficiency.
Founded and led by Army veteran Shayna Williams, FPI began hands-on garden projects in late 2023 and has expanded with regular donation drives, volunteer coordination, and community fundraising to support garden builds and food distribution.
FPI emphasizes sustainability and local partnerships — proposing community garden sites, sharing produce and eggs from backyard projects, and running periodic fundraisers to grow operations and outreach.
