About ADVOCATES FOR CHILDREN CASA
Advocates for Children CASA (EIN 74-2414133) is a Colorado-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit established in 1985 that provides court‑appointed volunteer advocacy and wraparound supports for children and youth involved with the child welfare, truancy, and juvenile justice systems in the 18th and 23rd Judicial Districts (Arapahoe, Douglas, Elbert and Lincoln counties).
The program recruits, trains, and supervises volunteer Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs), mentors, and tutors to ensure each child has a consistent, trained adult voice in court and in planning for safety, stability and permanency.
Recent impact (2025) demonstrates program scale and outcomes: over 2,300 children served, over 9,200 volunteer hours logged, over 81,000 miles driven by volunteers, and an estimated $1,651,974 in tax dollars saved through advocacy and case interventions.
