Scholars Equity Network
Scholars Equity Network (SEN) provides professional and personal development, civic engagement, and economic empowerment opportunities to scholars from underserved communities to be personally, professionally, and financially positioned to give back to the communities they come from.
About Scholars Equity Network
In 1999, the Gates Millennium Scholars Program (GMS) invested $1.6 billion in 20,000 of the brightest students from underserved communities, proving these individuals had the talent and drive to succeed when given resources. But graduation was never the finish line. These scholars returned to communities still facing the same systemic barriers, and they came back with the expertise to address them. Scholars Equity Network (SEN) exists because talent without resources stalls. Our GMS alumni know what their communities need, but lack the funding and infrastructure to execute. Funding SEN creates direct community impact. Your investment supports initiatives like the Pay It Forward Accelerator, which puts resources directly into the hands of Changemakers turning local insight into solutions, while also sustaining the operational infrastructure that makes this work possible. The GMS program identified the potential. SEN provides the platform to deploy it. Funding SEN means investing in communities through leaders who are ready to deliver results. SEN is open to everyone including non-GMS alumni.
