The Good Life Movement
To protect and advance mental health civil rights, eliminate stigma, and codify a floor of protections and accountability to ensure equal treatment under the law.
About The Good Life Movement
The Good Life Movement was founded in 2024 after our executive director lost his father to suicide—a loss shared, in some form, by tens of millions of American families every year. We exist to make mental health a civil right.
Today, mental health care in America is rationed by zip code, income, and insurance. That's not a treatment gap—it's a justice gap. And it's one we can close.
We're building the movement to pass the Mental Health Civil Rights Act, a landmark federal law that would guarantee every American equal access to mental health care, on par with physical health care. We organize nationally to shift the policies, the laws, and the culture that have kept mental health separate, stigmatized, and out of reach.
This is the civil rights fight of our generation. Join us, and be part of history.

Andrew Yang Podcast ft. The Good Life Movement
In this episode of The Andrew Yang Podcast, Andrew speaks with Jono Wilde, the Executive Director of the Good Life Movement, about America’s growing mental health crisis and how policy can be part of the solution. Together, they discuss the impact of smartphones, social isolation, and economic stress on mental health, and introduce a bold new initiative: the Life, Liberty, and Pursuit of Happiness Act, a proposed civil rights bill for mental health reform. Jono shares his personal story of loss, his father’s struggle with bipolar disorder, and how that tragedy inspired him to take action. Discover how bipartisan support, community, and awareness can drive change toward a healthier, more connected nation.
