About The Greenway Foundation

Founded in 1974, The Greenway Foundation has been a driving force in transforming the South Platte River from a neglected waterway into a cherished community asset. Over the past five decades, TGF has spearheaded numerous initiatives to restore and enhance the river's environmental health and accessibility.

Today, TGF operates a range of programs focused on environmental education, community engagement, and river stewardship. Serving the Denver metropolitan area, the foundation's efforts have led to significant improvements in water quality, habitat restoration, and public access to the river.
